Conditions for applying for the appointment of the Directorate of Shipping:

In case of general candidates, minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be between 30 years as on 24-08-2023 A.D. (In case of sons and daughters of brave freedom fighters/martyr freedom fighters and physically challenged candidates age limit is up to 32 years as per the said date). Affidavit is not admissible for calculation of age.

In case of sons and daughters of brave freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters, the age limit is up to 30 years.

Candidates working in Government, Semi-Government and Autonomous Organizations must apply with permission from appropriate authority. At the time of oral examination, the original copy of clearance issued by the concerned appointing authority should be submitted.

Procedure to apply for the appointment of the Directorate of Shipping:

If you are an eligible and interested candidate to apply for the Department of Shipping recruitment notification then without delay apply for the job within the specified time as per the instructions given by the authorities on the website of the Department of Shipping (www.dos.gov.bd) ‘Internal E’ Online form to be filled and submitted through “Recruitment Notice” link under -Services’.

[ Application should be accompanied by recent color photograph of the candidate (with white background, 300 × 300 pixels, within 100 KB) and signature of the candidate (300 × 80 pixels, within 60 KB)

to be attached and citizenship and character certificate issued by 1st class gazetted officer issued by Chairman of Local Union Parishad/Ward Councilor of City Corporation/Municipal Mayor/Councillor, in case of Veer Muktijodha Quota, Veer Muktijodha/Son-Daughter of Veer Muktijodha/Son/Daughter of Veer Muktijodha- Daughter (if applicable) certificate should be scanned and attached.

After filling the online application form properly, uploading the photo and signature as per the instructions, confirming the information given in the application form and submitting the application, the copy of the application containing the photo and signature of the applicant should be downloaded and saved.

Application fee submission procedure for the appointment of the Directorate of Shipping:

Fees should be submitted through online payment method (Cash, Bikash, Rocket, Other Bank Cards) with all necessary information from the ‘Payment of Fees’ menu. If the applicant wants, he can submit the fee with all the required information from the same menu within 72 (two hundred) hours after the submission of the application. For application Rs.200/- from Grade 13 to 16 and Rs.100/- from Grade 17-20, along with online service charge at the rate of 10% of the fee. It should be noted that the application will not be accepted until the fee is paid even if the application form is duly filled online.

Directorate of Shipping Recruitment Exam Admit Card Download:

The issue of downloading the Admit Card or Admit Card of the Directorate of Shipping Recruitment Exam will be intimated to the eligible candidates through SMS in due course. However, those candidates who are considered ineligible will not receive any SMS regarding admit card download. Receipt of Admit Card for Department of Shipping Recruitment Exam will be intimated in due course on website www.dos.gov.bd and through SMS on candidate’s mobile phone (only eligible candidates). All communication related to the examination will be done on the mobile phone provided by the candidate in the online application form, so it is recommended to keep the number active at all times, read the SMS and follow the instructions received immediately.
